OSP Shaving Cream
Shaving cream is the latest OSP development.
Only the purest, unrefined ingredients are lovingly combined in a process that takes over a month from start to finish. Like all other soaps in the range, OSP shaving cream is 100% natural and is also 100% vegan.
All shaving creams now come in 140g tubs just like OSP Shaving Soap!
There are 8 of the current scents available:
Sandalwood - Real Indian sandalwood. To my knowledge there is nothing else like it on the market!
Neroli - Beautiful floral scent from the flower of the bitter orange tree. This is stunning unisex scent!
Grapefruit & Menthol - Fresh white grapefruit with a chilling touch of menthol. Perfect for a hot day.
Barbershop - Bergamot, lavender, patchouli, cedar wood and a touch of basil to take you back to the roots of wet shaving!
Fougere - Notes of lavender, bergamot, patchouli, jasmine, clove, sandalwood and cedar wood remind us of walking through a forest in spring.
Orange & Patchouli - Sweet orange top note with strong woody patchouli (not incense).
Spice Road - A pungent blend of spices coupled with a good dash of sandalwood brings back memories from decades ago.
Eucalyptus & Menthol - Strong Eucalyptus with the face freezing power of strong menthol. This will really open the airways!
As well as the following 5 new scents:
Chypre - A classic concoction of sweet orange and bergamot give a zesty top note which is backed by a blend of neroli, yang ylang and jasmine, with a heart base of patchouli and benzoin resin. All rounded off with a dab of oak moss.
1882 - this name is an ode to the original Fougere created in exactly that year. Sharp lemon top notes are lifted with a lavender mid and oak moss base, sweetened with a hint of tonka. This is as close to an old school Fouler as you are likely to get!
Vintage - Another Fougere fragrance that bursts with top notes of bergamot and geranium, also with lavender, neroli, tonic and oak moss to add complexity and depth. Check out the review below!
Sicilian Lemon Grove - Beautiful sharp lemon notes with a hint of grapefruit for extra depth, with frankincense and vetiver to add complexity.
Shogun - A Japanese inspired blend of may chang and ginger that is unlike any other shaving product I have sampled.
Please note the following in order to ensure the longevity of the product:
Ingredients: Aqua, Potassium Stearate, Glycerin, Potassium Avocadate, Potassium Cocoate, Potassium Shea Butterate, Sodiu Stearate, Parfum, Stearic Acid, Sodium Avocadate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Shea Butterate, Kaolin
Please note that in order to prolong the life of your shaving cream:
- Damp shaving brushes should not be loaded directly from the tub of cream. Cream should be scooped out and applied directly to the face, brush or bowl before lathering commences.
- Creams should be kept in a cool, dry and dark place.
- Please also note that cream consistency can vary batch to batch due to the nature of the natural ingredients used. This does not effect the product in any way, but please be careful when opening.
Ingredients: Aqua, Potassium Stearate, Glycerin, Potassium Avocadate, Potassium Cocoate, Potassium Shea Butterate, Sodium Stearate, Parfum, Stearic Acid, Sodium Avocadate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Shea Butterate, Kaolin (Other ingredients by scent)
Welcome to my first shave with the new OSP Shave Cream in Vintage scent. It's a truly wonderful shave, from start to finish. Exquisite in its glide and cushion, it paves the way for one of the best post shave feels you could hope for.

The love, care and attention which goes in to OSP products are all reflected in the end results. Wonderful creams and from my own personal perspective I have not met anything to better them.
OSP (Ostensibly Superior Product)

My recent purchase of OSP Shaving Cream, one Sandlewood the other Shogun is one of the best purchases of the past year. I cannot always speak to the quality of the aroma since I am scent deficient most of the time but I am enjoying the scent of the Shogun. Just enough to give me a sense of mystery. I am thoroughly enjoying that one.
I can speak with more validity to the performance of the shaving cream. The recommended pea size of soap results in an almost immediately blossoming of lather. In short order, the soaps produced a rich and more than adequate lather for a several pass shave. As with any new soap I try, I don't use a preshave. Future use of these soaps will never require a preshave. It gives a lasting cushion that glides the razor over your face effortlessly. An alum bar rub afterward revealed the most minute, if any, spots of irritation. These are now at the top of my rotation of shaving soaps and creams.

A cream is a cream and it does a job? Not quite.
I have been through the majority of decent creams on the market and drew up an idea as to what lay where in the pecking order. Then I tried OSP. 'Uh?'. My list needed a major readjustment.
From the off OSP creams lather up in a most magnificent manner requiring little product to produce enough lather for a few shaves. Pity I can only shave once within the same hour or so and quick to learn, 'use less'. From a physical shaving perspective I find their creams incredibly pleasing to use offering a rich barrier with wonderful glide properties.
From a fragrance angle their creams leave me perplexed with wonderful and bizarre scents (try their Spice Road and see what I mean). The Shogun is no different here. I actually sent a sample back to OSP as I wondered if they had packed me some Sicilian Lemon in error being it was so zesty and zingy. Not quite what I expected. However James advised me it was the correct product and I was experiencing a big hit of lemon grass. Wonderful stuff. It just leaves one in a lemony heaven with a wonderful flood of citrus vibe and flavour. You could almost eat it, but I will assure you, not for use with black tea.
The one thing I do notice with OSP creams is not only their attention to fragrances, but the actually longevity of the scent. With most creams I find the scent disappears down the plug hole with the water but with OSP the scents actually last longer than some EDT's I have tried which don't see it to the bottom of the stairs. They also lay a base for most of the ADP range of fragrances which match wonderfully. It is nice to have closely matched scents instead of smelling like the fragrance counters in a department store all fighting for the same space. Fragrance wars.
So where do their creams stand in my list? Very happy to say....at the top. They are now my daily creams and I only tend to sway away when the day might ask for something else.
Great products, great company and great shaves. The words happy and bunny come to mind.
Quality natural ingredients.

I’ve just received and used my 4th set of shaving products from OSP, the Fougere shaving cream and tonic. As with my other 3 soaps and 2 tonics (Barbershop, Neroli and Bay Rum) there is a beautiful scent, excellent cushioning and slickness and great post shave skin feel. Good service and delivery add to a great all round experience. Thanks James!
Wonderful product and wonderful service - OSP is the best!

Approaching the end of my tub of OSP Fougere shaving cream I realised in a panic that a reorder was due. After perusing the website and fancying a change I opted for one tub of Chypre and another of Sandalwood.
A couple of days later a knock on the door announced their arrival. Opening both tubs filled the room with the delicious aroma. Almost good enough to eat!
As ever, the wonderful products, superb service and personal note from James simply reinforces the fact that OSP stand at the pinnacle of the shaving world.

The shaving cream is the best I have ever used! The Neroli has the most amazing scent and the lather creates the perfect protection and glide for my sensitive skin. With such a outstanding customer service, I can't wait to try the other scents!
THE BEST OF THE BEST

I've been wet shaving for 56 years and have primarily enjoyed soaps and only a small number of luxury creams, that is, until I tried OSP creams. Why use anything else when OSP creams easily produce a rich, thick, luxurious lather with plenty of cushion and glide and leave your face feeling soft throughout the day. Their superior slickness should make them a requirement for every straight shaver's den. There are a few great creams, but none better than OSP.

Sandalwood - what a lovely scent and performance. Lather builds very quickly and is silky smooth, perfect glide for a DE razor on sensitive skin.
Luxury cream at a very reasonable price. Can't see how the performance can be bettered - the only brand in my collection from now on. Fantastic customer service too.
Second to none for customer service!
